How We Work
We Are Not a Factory.
Here Is Why That Is Better for Your Project.
If you are comparing suppliers and you want a company that owns its own plant, this page will tell you in thirty seconds whether we are the right fit. We would rather you disqualify us now than discover it in a verification call.
The short version
COSMPACK is a China-based packaging partner for beauty brands. We do not own a manufacturing plant. We specify, source, tool, produce, decorate, inspect and ship through a vetted network of Chinese partner factories, and we carry commercial responsibility for the whole project.
You get one contact, one QC standard, one set of documents and one company to hold accountable. You do not get a captive plant.
What we control
- Specification and material selection — including PCR content and recyclability trade-offs
- Tooling: mould design, tooling review, T1/T2 samples and approval
- Supplier allocation — which factory runs your component, based on capability, capacity and price
- Production follow-up — on-site progress checks during production, not only at the end
- Quality: AQL inspection under ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 at DPI, Final and Pre-Shipment
- Documentation: packing lists, inspection reports, material and compliance declarations
- Logistics: freight booking and export documentation through our forwarders
What we do not control
- The factory's internal scheduling. We manage it; we cannot own it.
- Factory lead time during peak season (Chinese New Year, Q4). We plan around it and tell you the real dates.
- Anything we have not been authorised to see. We do not have access to your competitor's orders, and we will not pretend to.
Why a factory is not automatically better
| Question | Single factory | COSMPACK (multi-factory) |
|---|---|---|
| Can you supply the bottle, pump, cap and carton? | Usually one category only | Yes — across the network |
| What if your plant is full in your peak month? | Your order waits | We move it to another qualified plant |
| Who do I call when a batch fails? | The factory | Us — and we file the claim |
| Will they tell you the true landed cost? | Theirs only | We compare plants and show you the delta |
How we choose a factory
Every plant in our network is reviewed before the first order, and re-reviewed annually. The review covers:
- Business licence, export licence, and legal entity verification
- Injection / glass / metal / printing capability against the component type
- Machine list and actual tonnage — we inspect it, we do not take the catalogue's word
- Real capacity against the current order book
- In-house decoration capability (screen print, hot stamp, spray, plating, UV)
- Historical defect rate and how they handle a claim
- Whether they will accept our AQL standard, in writing
Plants that will not accept our inspection standard do not enter the network.
How we make money
We are paid by our customers, not by the factories. That is deliberate.
We do not take undisclosed commissions from factories — a supplier paid by the factory has a reason to recommend the factory that pays best. When we quote, the product, the tooling and the freight are shown as separate lines so you can see what you are paying for.
Pricing is confirmed per project rather than published as a list: the container, the tooling and the decoration are what drive the number, and we explain which of them is driving yours. If you want to know how our margin is structured, ask — we will tell you.
How to verify us before you spend money
- Ask for the inspection reports from our recent orders. We publish them with the inspector's name — including the ones that flagged defects.
- Ask for the factory name on a live project and check it yourself. If a customer under NDA asks, we will disclose it under a one-way NDA.
- Ask us one question you already know the answer to. We would rather say "that is not our strength" than bluff.
What we will say no to
- Projects where we cannot meet your quality standard with any plant in the network
- Certification claims we do not hold. We do not have ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22716, GMP or SGS certification, and we will not display anyone else's.
- Copying a competitor's patented container design
- Orders where the honest answer is "this will not be profitable for you at this volume"
Start With a Sample, Not a Render
Test us on a small order first. Samples from existing tooling are faster and cheaper than a full custom prototype — and we will tell you honestly which one your project needs.
