Loose powder packs are judged on one thing above all: whether the powder stays in the jar and comes out at a controlled rate. The sifter is the part that decides both.
Sifter or shaker
A sifter disc with holes gives a controlled shake; a shaker top gives a coarser flow. The hole pattern and count have to suit the particle size of the powder — a sifter specced for a fine powder will dump a coarse one.
Sealing against leakage
Loose powder migrates through the smallest gap. The rim seal between the sifter and the jar, and the thread fit on the lid, are where leakage is won or lost. If the pack ships in a carton that gets inverted, say so at brief stage.
Jar proportions
A wide, shallow jar is easier to load a brush from; a deep jar holds more for the same shelf footprint. Which is right depends on whether the product is used with a puff or a brush, and that is a marketing decision as much as an engineering one.
Decoration on a small rim
Most of a loose powder jar is transparent or plain, so decoration usually lands on the lid — a flat disc that takes foil, printing and lacquering well. Container decoration is confirmed per project against the specific moulding.
