Lipgloss: What Is in the Tube?

Lipgloss tint tube, as a packaging, is an essential part of  Lipgloss product branding.  Factors such as material for packaging, tube shape, color and packaging durability play a significant role in the marketing game plan for the cosmetic products like Lipgloss.  For a cosmetic product of this kind, the packaging details of Lipgloss tint tube have significant bearing on the products’ attractiveness and standing in the market, thus leading to an upward graph in sales.  Another factor to be taken into consideration is the fact that most of such cosmetic products, especially in case of up-market brands, are expensive and they usually are used over a longer timeframe. Since they always perform as per expectations through long duration periods, it’s needed that the Lipgloss tint tube products are packaged adequately.  Cosmetic companies that have innovations when it comes to containers make their Lipgloss tint tube cost-effective and stylish to perform well in the market.

Lipgloss tint tube products use vials as a common option because being tubes with tops, they can be inserted easily into the tube for a makeup use. The materials used in making these vials are made from plastics, acrylic material, aluminum, nylon, etc. Some commonly used shapes you will find are cylindrical, but sometimes you will see some convex or round or square shaped vials too in the market. These vials have thick walls with plastic caps to hold the sticks for applying the makeup. A typical capacity for such vials is 5 ml to 15 ml, and the capacity is also driven by factors like shape and height of the Lipgloss tint tube.

Being the most commonly used cosmetic packaging, acrylic containers are durable, customizable and not much expensive. Also, most acrylic containers can be produced on a mass scale. Being usually clear, such containers can be enhanced with tinting or frosting.  This enables them to resemble like  glass, while not being prone to risk of breaking. Moreover, they remain lighter unlike glasses. On the other hand, containers from PP plastics are more affordable and they have good value for money. They are also softer when compared to the acrylic plastics and thus not as durable as them. However, two factors that stand in favor of the PP plastics are: they are more cost-efficient and they can be mass-produced in short manufacturing cycles.

Lip gloss tint tubes’ manufacturing requires a variety of raw materials.  Aside of a mixture of plastics,  the material also includes aluminum sheets. The outer layer is made from PP plastic or a thin acrylic plastic or an aluminum sheet. These are usually silk screened to print design and other brand details. The inside portion of the Lipgloss tint tubes are mostly  PS plastic and/or aluminum.

So, if you are considering adding Lipgloss tint tube products to your cosmetics range, you do have a lot of homework to do when it comes to packaging.
